Working For The Greater Good — One Verified Scam Call At a Time

No one enjoys getting scam calls. They’re intrusive, confusing, and at worst, dangerous. But what if you could trust every number that showed up on your phone? That’s the mission behind the company I work for — helping people know who’s calling and why before they even answer.

When I first joined First Orion, what stood out to me was the mission itself: restoring trust to the phone call. It’s a simple concept, but it addresses a massive problem. Scam and spam calls have eroded one of the most basic forms of communication, leaving both businesses and consumers frustrated. Our goal is to change that — to make the phone a trustworthy tool again.

At First Orion, we do that through call branding and scam protection technology. You’ve probably seen it before — when your phone rings and the screen says something like Pharmacy Delivery or Bank Fraud Alert. That’s call branding in action. It helps legitimate businesses display their name and reason for calling so customers can answer with confidence.

In my role as a Data Verification Analyst, I help ensure that the information behind those calls is accurate and legitimate. Every verified number we confirm means fewer calls being misclassified, fewer scams getting through, and more people being able to pick up the phone without second-guessing it. It’s detail-oriented work, but every data point adds up to something much bigger — trust.

Working for a company with a mission like this has reminded me how powerful purpose can be in a career. The work we do isn’t just about technology; it’s about protecting people, improving communication, and making everyday connections safer.

I’m proud to be part of that mission… one verified call at a time.
